Claims that his nasty rhetoric aren't influencing people are at odds with his actions.
President Donald Trump declares he bears no blame for influencing the pipe bomb sender, the murderer of two black men in a Kentucky grocery store or the killer of 11 Jews in a Pittsburgh synagogue. If he truly believes that his words don't influence people, then why does he keep on talking? Why give all those inflammatory campaign speeches if he's not influencing people?
Administration adviser Kellyanne Conway said the ones who do influence people are late-night comedians.
Trump is sending thousands of people from our military to the Mexican border, adding to the National Guard and Border Patrol already there, to defend us against the so-called caravan. It's pathetic that so many of us are afraid of a few thousand bedraggled and exhausted migrants, largely women and children, who are still far from the border, while right-wing terrorists are the ones actually killing Americans.
It's a mystery to me how so many of those who call themselves Christians can support this president and totally ignore all of Christ's teachings, especially about the rich and the poor, and kindness to strangers.
Why does Trump keep on talking?
