Building an independent grassroots organization takes resources and commitment. To ensure that our group is around for the long term and remains self-funded, we invite you to become a dues-paying, voting member in Indivisible Berks. With your help, we can build a civic force capable of making a real impact on the issues we care about — so our government works for all of us.
Why become a member of Indivisible Berks?
Being a dues-paying member means that together, we share ownership and responsibility for building a civic force capable of making a real impact on the issues we care about. We commit to action, individually and collectively, to ensure that our elected officials represent all their constituents, including the most vulnerable.
IB members build power -- by engaging friends and neighbors in the political process, holding our elected officials accountable, listening to voters, and working closely with allies on shared issues.
IB members vote on strategic questions -- via regular polls on pertinent questions that will inform the work and priorities of Indivisible Berks.
IB members pay dues -- so we can run a robust canvass operation, drive effective issue campaigns, rent event space, and pay for website and other communications tools, food for volunteers, transportation, and training. By 2020, we hope to have an office and staff that get paid a living wage!
IB members get swell, conversation-starting premiums -- “liberty & justice for all” bumper stickers, pocket Constitutions, and Indivisible Berks tote bags.
IB members attend an annual all-member meeting -- and party afterward! See all of the work we’ve done, give feedback, get an in depth look at the next year's budget, and celebrate!
Paying membership dues is an important expression of your ownership of Indivisible Berks. A monthly commitment helps us plan ahead, but you're welcome to choose a different frequency.
