About Indivisible Berks Membership
The time has come for Indivisible Berks to become a membership organization. In order to have a more powerful political impact, we need to know what issues you care about, how you feel about the candidates, and what you're willing to do to turn things around.
Interested in becoming a voting member of Indivisible Berks? Here's what it means:
Members are aligned with the mission of Indivisible Berks.
Indivisible Berks is dedicated to ensuring that our elected officials represent all their constituents, including the most vulnerable. From raising our voices in our public square to going door-to-door to meet our neighbors, we are taking back our democracy. We welcome people of any political persuasion who are ready to oppose authoritarian, corrupt and dangerous policies and fight for liberty and justice for all.
Members will be polled regularly on other strategic questions. While not every decision warrants a full membership vote, regular polls on pertinent questions will inform the work and priorities of Indivisible Berks.
Members are encouraged to get involved. You don’t have to be an Indivisible Berks member to attend a meeting, or to show up to a rally, or even to join a working group or volunteer on a canvass. But members are encouraged to find a way to get involved in an ongoing role that helps to build our collective capacity.
Members are encouraged to pay dues. Building a powerful grassroots organization takes resources – renting event spaces, a sound system, making flyers and posters, maintaining a website, developing a robust canvass operation, and more. That’s why we are asking members to make a monthly or annual contribution – at whatever level you are able. (Dues are encouraged but not required for membership, and everyone who wants to be a member will have equal membership rights, regardless of their financial contribution.)

Membership is open to any individual who agrees with the mission who lives in Berks County, in one of the surrounding counties, or an any of the counties included in our three Congressional Districts: Lehigh, Montgomery, Chester, Lancaster, Lebanon, Schuylkill, Carbon, Columbia, Montour, Luzerne, and Northumberland.
